About Us

We’re Carlos and Juli, the husband-and-wife team behind Sierra Studios, based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Rooted in our Catholic faith and love for the Traditional Latin Mass, we bring a documentary-style approach to both film and photography, capturing real, unscripted moments with cinematic beauty.

Carlos leads cinematography and post-production, crafting compelling visual narratives with a raw, emotional, and cinematic touch. Juli specializes in photography, bringing an artistic eye and a deep appreciation for storytelling through still imagery. Together, we work seamlessly to create visuals that feel organic, impactful, and timeless.

We’ve been married for three years, and funny enough, despite what everyone assumes, we didn’t meet at church—we met on the mats at a Jiu-Jitsu gym! Carlos started training Jiu-Jitsu in 2016 while serving in the Marines, and after moving back home, he searched for a school that offered the Gracie Combatives program. That’s when he found his now-good friend Nate, who was opening a new gym—where Juli’s family just so happened to be founding members. We trained together for about a year before we started dating, and the rest is history.

Our faith is at the center of everything we do. We love reading, watching movies, and discussing Bible stories together. We also hope to become parents one day and humbly ask for prayers for that intention as we continue growing our business.

At Sierra Studios, our goal is simple: to document life’s most meaningful moments in a way that feels authentic, timeless, and true to the story being told. Whether through photography or film, we’re here to create something unforgettable with you.
